WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN
IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF CORNERSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH?
1. We will be active in the life of the Church family. We will be physically present as much as possible to worship and praise, to study God's Word, to evangelize the unsaved, to minister to the needy, and to participate in the Christian fellowship of the Church.
2. We will be spiritually supportive. We will pray every day for our Church and her members and the others in our ministry field.
3. We will prayerfully determine our spiritual gifts and will seek earnestly to put them into service in the Ministry Program of the Church.
4. We will support the maintenance and upkeep of the Church with physical energies and abilities as needed.
5. We will give financially to the church. We know God expects the tithe, or one-tenth of our gross financial income. After that, He expects us to joyfully and willingly participate in offerings above the tithe. We know God will give us that which we are to give to the Church. And since the expenses of the Church are on-going each week, when we are not actually present on a given Sunday, we will mail or bring our financial gifts to the Church on a timely basis.
6. We will joyfully support the leadership of the Church in the work God has placed us here to do. Our Pastor is the head of the Church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our Deacons are servants whose ministry is to preserve the unity of the congregation. We will prayerfully follow their faithful leadership.
7. We will work to build up the programs and ministries of the Church. We will invite and encourage others to join us in building a great Church to the honor and glory of God.
8. We will become part of a small group within the life of the Church and will give our best in attitudes and actions to see the kingdom grow at Cornerstone.
